About PoolTestLog
PoolTestLog is a small independent website with free tools for people who look after their own pool or hot tub: chemical dose calculators, a private test log with trend charts, and opening and closing checklists.
How it is made
The calculators use standard water chemistry (see how we calculate) and are covered by automated tests. The site is built and maintained with the help of automated software tools. There is no account and your logs never leave your browser.
Funding
The site is free and may show advertising to cover costs. We do not sell chemicals and are not paid to recommend any brand.
Not professional advice
Results are estimates for residential pools and hot tubs. Follow product labels and your equipment manufacturer’s instructions, and call a pool professional for equipment problems, liner or plaster issues, or before draining an in-ground pool.
